Computer Centre
Harvest High School now has its own computer centre. This is fantastic opportunity to prepare our students for the increasing demands to be computer literate.
The Governing Body made the decision to build the computer centre having realised that we could no longer go without one. It is of vital importance that we give our students the very best education we can. Being computer literate is an integral part of that learning process.
The computer centre currently has 12 workstations and 1 server. It is hoped that with more funding we can get a data projector and more computers. The additional computers will allow the students more hands-on practice. Currently, each student has access to the computers for one hour a week. Because of the size of the classes, the students share 1 computer between two students.
The students are taught basic computer literacy, including Windows XP and Office 2OO7.
We do not currently have access to the Internet or e-mail. We are unable to afford the cost of this at the moment. However, we still believe it is a vital part of their larning experience and are looking for donors to help. If you would like to get involved by financially contributing to the cost, please email us by clicking the link below:
