TEACHING POST
Harvest High School, an independent, Umalusi-accredited Christian school situated in Ladysmith, KZN, is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced educator to join our dedicated team. Position: English Home Language (Grade 8) and Life Sciences (Grades 10–12) Educator
Starting Date: 1st January 2027
Minimum Requirements:
A recognised professional teaching qualification (B.Ed or Degree + PGCE).
Valid and current SACE registration.
Police Clearance Certificate.
Specialist knowledge and proven experience teaching FET Phase Life Sciences and Senior Phase English Home Language (CAPS Curriculum).
Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Fully computer literate. In a Google for Education environment, experience with Google Workspace (Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets) will be a distinct advantage.
A willingness to actively participate in and support our sports and extramural activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in Life Sciences and English Home Language.
Teaching other subjects as required by the school's timetable.
Fulfilling all administrative tasks associated with teaching, including diligent lesson planning, setting assessments, and tracking student progress.
Maintaining excellent classroom management and discipline in alignment with the school's Code of Conduct.
Coaching sports and leading other extramural activities to support the holistic development of our learners.
